DIY belly dance belt base

$40.00

I remember looking at all the fabulous belts I would see that perfectly accentuated that dancers costume.  I really wanted to make my own, but had no idea what that belt base was supposed to look like.  Well, after a few failed prototypes I came up with what I thought was the PERFECT belt base!

The gentle curve is designed to sit slightly lower than your waistline and follow the curve over your skirts and hip shawls.  Two layers of canvas and one of doe suede fabric give stability yet remains flexible.  That doe suede?  Its a sort of ‘fuzzy’ fabric helps keep your belt down by slightly ‘gripping’ your fabrics.  The 2″ rings give further flexibility to your belt, tie them up using ribbon, cording, yarn or anything else you’d like to use.

You can decorate your base with medallions like mine (which is pictured) or with any other trims, metal bits, fabrics or bit you want!  Check out all of the medallions and metal bits I carry.

The measurement of the belts are from the outside edge of the O ring to outside edge of O ring.  The width of the belt is 2″.

IF YOU NEED A SIZE OVER 42″ PLEASE ORDER THE ‘OVER 42’ SIZE AND SEND ME THE SIZE YOU NEED.
